When I was young my family had a Chanukah bush and we celebrated Chanukah so where did this song come from? Don’t ask me! When the muse hits there’s no stopping it! I was certainly happy to discover that 3 of the most loved Christmas songs of all time were written by someone who celebrated Chanukah! Nevertheless I have always looked at the lights of the Holidays as a sharing of time with family and friends, regardless of your faith, everyone’s crafting and shopping and giving gifts, and I love that!
